During the year long mentorship partners will collaborate and share information to improve safety performance on construction projects. Mentors and mentees will learn from each other.
The mentoring program includes an online assessment of the mentees safety program, one on one meetings to share information and best practices, and an OSHA 10 hour class.
The program is funded by a generous grant from the MDU Foundation. MDU is the parent company of Oregon Electric Group and Knife River.
Mentors in the program are Andersen Construction, EC Co, Hoffman Construction, Howard S. Wright, a Balfour Beatty Co, McKinstry, Mortensen Construction, Oregon Electric Group, Skanska USA Building, Cochran Electric and TCM.
Mentees participating are Affordable Electric, Art Cortez Construction, Crestview Construction, Inland Electric, Liberty Steel, NWR, PacificMark Construction, Parrish Excavating, All Pro Install and Professional Minority Group.
"Mentors and mentees have already started to meet and collaborate. This first of its kind mentoring program is exciting. Working together we can move our industry closer to zero injuries." say Steve Clem, SafeBuild Alliance President.
